After competing at the collegiate level for the University of Redlands, Bob Beck embarked upon a lengthy coaching career that has spanned four decades. His experience includes coaching in Europe, the California Collegiate Baseball League, Ontario Post 112 American Legion and scout teams for both the Philadelphia Phillies and the Chicago Cubs. Bob also coached at the high school level for 37 years with 34 of those years at Ontario High school as Varsity Coach. During that time, his teams won 12 league championships and one C.I.F title. More than 30 ontario players went on to play at the collegiate level with 16 Jaguars signing professional contracts, the most notable being major leaguers Mike Sweeney and Al Newman. Having the good fortune of coaching with four of the best coaches to come from the Inland Valley has helped me to become the coach I am today. A special thank you to Robert Beck (Ontario HS 1970-2005), Wayne Redfearn (Chaffey HS 1990-1999) Steve Jackson (Claremont HS 2008-current) and Rick Rhinehart (UFLL). As I enter my 15th year of coaching, I continue to lean on my life verse, Philippeans 4:13 "I can do everything through Him who gives me strength". Although I can't recall most of the over 500 games I have coached, covering every level from T-ball through Varsity level high school, I always consider it the greatest honor to share God's word through baseball and having my Warrior boys refer to me as Coach. Lastly, a special thank you to my "baseball widow" wife Amy, who continues to support me in everything I do. |

My coaching experience has evolved over the last 10+ years, coaching from T-Ball thru Juniors, as well as travel ball - Go Warriors! I have had the great blessing of being as much of a student of the game as I am a teacher. I subscribe to the philosophy that there are always new techniques, skills or other insights that can be taught to the kids, so I enjoy continually studying the game and its intricacies, and passing that knowledge on to the players. My hope is these young men continue to grow athletically and in their love for the game of baseball. However, more importantly I hope that their character grows and they become shining examples of playing the game the right way, with integrity, class and sportsmanship, while giving a total release effort each time they step between the lines. Thanks to Coach Santia and Coach Beck for making the Warriors such a unique team. I also want to thank my wife, Stephanie and my kids for filling my life with love and support. Proverbs 3:5-6. |

John grew up in the Claremont area where he played baseball through the American Legion level. He learned the game of baseball from some of the area’s finest coaches of their time. He has played competitive youth baseball throughout the western United States and Canada. Currently, John prides himself and finds his greatest pleasure’s in passing on his knowledge of the game to the next generation of men and women who will represent the best of baseball and softball talent in our area. He has coached youth baseball and softball for the past ten years in Upland, and believes that hard work and dedication are rewarded in the end with knowledge and valuable experiences. John’s coaching philosophy is rooted in his belief that kids are limited in their current abilities only by the physical stage of their development. Their comprehension abilities make them capable of understanding more complex concepts than they are traditionally taught until later stages in baseball (when their physical abilities would otherwise suggest they are ready to learn). While a fundamental grasp of the basics is mandatory, John believes that teaching advanced concepts early aids to advance and guide physical development, resulting in earlier and faster total overall development. |

Growing up in Upland I played both soccer and baseball through high school. I was blessed to have some fantastic role models that encouraged me to get involved in the community and with my children early. As a result, I have coached my son and daughter’s various soccer, baseball and softball teams. It is very rewarding to know that I have had a positive impact on the lives of hundreds of kids in the area in past 6 years. For me, coaching is not about wins and losses. It is about seeing the growth in the players both on and off the field. I currently manage a Major team at Upland National, where I am also a board member. My wife Emily and I are lifelong residents of Upland. |

I was given the opportunity and pleasure of playing team sports from an early age well into college. Sports, particularly baseball, have given me great experiences from travel to life long friendships. I started giving back to youth athletics as a coach while still in high school coaching basketball. I have been involved in coaching youth athletics from basketball, soccer and baseball for well over 15 years. I enjoy teaching the Love of the Game so they can participate in athletics for a life time. |

Most of my youth was spent playing soccer for travel teams and some baseball. I have been coaching my two boys in Little League or assisting with their travel baseball clubs in some capacity for the past 10 years. I have been fortunate enough to learn the finer points of the game of baseball from some of the best coaches in the Inland Empire. I enjoy teaching the game of baseball and currently coach a Little League Major division team in Upland, Ca. |
